Rare Genuine 2-tone Ghost Suveran dial 1952 OMEGA Ref2622-2 Cal. 266 Gents Watch

A rare original 1952 OMEGA Ref:2622-2 Cal. 266 Gents 35mm watch. This watch has the very desirable Suveran-style 2-tone black/silver dial which has faded beautifully to what I can best describe as a ghost finish. The Omega logo now appears white against the silver inner circle, but despite it’s obvious ageing and fade all of the original dial markings are still legible, including the outer contrasting silver seconds track. Tested and in superlative working order – Please see the full item description and photos to appreciate how nice this watch really is! 1952 Ghost Suveran dial Omega 2622-2. The lume is missing to the original hour and minute hands, but it has not been replaced, leaving the hands with their simple steel frame finish – and they look perfect set against this silver/black faded ghost dial. Please see the photos to appreciate how nice this watch is! The steel case measures 35mm diameter, excl crown, and 18mm between the lugs. It has it’s original screw-down case back which has the usual Omega logos and script and reference number: “2622-2″. This watch houses the classic rose gold-finish Manually-wound Omega Cal. 266 movement which has been tested just prior to listing and is in full working order. At the time of testing it is running to a very impressive accuracy within +3 seconds per day and shows a very healthy amplitude reading of 298. The movement has a 13mil serial number which dates the production date of this watch all the way back to 1952. It is attached to a really nice tan leather stitched strap in good used condition with steel buckle which I think suits this watch very well. It will accommodate a wrist from 6.5″ up to approx 8″. An opportunity to acquire a wonderful example of a uniquely-aged early 1950’s vintage Omega that is in superlative working order and still looks great on the wrist today!
