This listing is for a really stunning item from OMEGA, one of the best watch brands in the world. Crafted in 1965 using the legendary 562 AUTOMATIC (self-winding) movement, this time piece represents OMEGA watch making at its independent very best. The SEAMASTER Deville is an iconic Omega model and this is a particularly rare piece with a gorgeous iridescent effect MESH textured dial. Elegant and versatile, this is a vintage piece for those who love understated design, quality engineering and appreciate a good investment when they see it. It’s one for the collection and is currently in very good cosmetic and working condition though we have no recent service history available and it’s always recommended to keep a fine vintage watch well-tuned. It comes on a lovely quality brand new vintage style stitched 18mm leather strap and is presented in a genuine Omega travel case. Please view all photos and read the listing in full. Don’t miss it! The dial is signed for OMEGA AUTOMATIC at the top and SEAMASTER DEVILLE under the hands. At the very bottom it says SWISS MADE. The unusual MESH backdrop makes this piece extra special. Combined of course with the RAISED HOUR BATONS and the thin Modern style hands. The mesh texture allows for a certain level of iridescence to appear when the light hits it. At the 3 position is a date aperture. Ultimately this is restrained, MINIMALIST and extremely elegant. Out of all the major high-end brands, OMEGA does this best in our opinion. There’s no compromise on quality. The case is a monocoque ALL STAINLESS STEEL and fully signed inside for OMEGA. ON the back it says SEAMASTER Waterproof and shows the classic Seamaster logo. Please note we have not pressure tested this and advise doing so before going near the water. Please also note the OMEGA signed CROWN. It comes on a BRAND-NEW lovely quality 18mm Chestnut brown vintage style stitched leather strap. 34mms across not including the crown. The movement is the iconic 562 24 JEWELS, AUTOMATIC which is highly lauded by collectors and movement enthusiasts alike. It has a SWAN NECK REGULATOR for superior adjustment. It is currently in great working order, keeping good time. Please note however that vintage watches cannot be guaranteed and it is always advisable to have them serviced at regular intervals to protect your investment. Cosmetically, there are few condition issues to consider. Other than light age commensurate wear there is little to report. Dial, case and crystal all look superb and original. The dial shows gentle creeping patina which is harder to see with the naked eye but is reassuring – this is 100% original and has not been messed with. Please also bear in mind that the photos are 1mm macro and show a lot of detail you wouldn’t otherwise see with the naked eye.
