1980 OMEGA CONSTELLATION MARINE Mens Uncommon & Cool Vintage Quartz Accuset Watch – Stainless Steel. Omega’s Flagship Watch. Omega’s flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most of all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress. The look of the watch slightly resembles an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and has a Gerald Genta look to it, the designer of the similar Manhattan Constellation. It is full size measuring 36mm in diameter, the same diameter as a Rolex Datejust, larger than similarly styled Connies from the era. It has a timeless stainless steel case, clean white dial, and Omega caliber 1332 Accuset quartz movement with a full 17 jewels, unusual for a quartz movement. It has a quick-setting hour for easy changing between time zones and advancing of the date and a push button for precise setting of the minutes. It is fully Omega and presents in gorgeous original condition. Its case presents as beautiful mint including the back which has the Observatory Constellation logo. Its original dial is mint and its bracelet presents as just short of mint with a couple of remnants of wear to the inside of the clasp. On the wrist the bracelet presents as just short of mint. A Master Watchmaker has performed any needed servicing on the movement and installed a new battery. Photos of the inside, back, and clasp, available upon request. For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. The watch’s page on the Omega website can be found here. We don’t recommend getting a vintage watch wet – and really don’t recommend showering or diving with it – even one that was originally designed to be waterproof. Wait until you see how big the box is that your watch is coming in! Please do remember though that while we do our very best and have careful procedures and quality control inspections – we will again fully re-test the proper functioning of your watch after you pay, right before we send it to you – from time to time some courier workers don’t handle packages the way we think that they would want their own packages to be handled. Watches are ultra-precision instruments, and the timekeeping of most is governed by a small spring that is only about 1/8 the thickness of a human hai r. The vast majority of our watches arrive safely and problem free. But even on a bad day there’s still good news… Yes, even the older vintage watches. So sit back, relax, and dream about the first place where you’re going to wear your new watch! It does not cover things like abuse, being dropped, crystals, bracelets, crowns, case parts etc. Even if you have a problem that you don’t think will qualify for coverage, tell us about it anyway.
