Let me just add that I have bought this watch exactly like it is, 4 years ago (the only thing I did is to replace the dial, which was kind of ugly, with a brand new dial from Omega) and since then it has been in a bank safe. I have never used it, like most of my watches, so it didnt make sense to order a maintenance service. Even tough I think it is not pretty I thing it is a good idea to keep all parts of the watch. If it is not stated that the watch has been serviced recently you would better consider a revision by an expert watchmaker, no matter how good the test results may look. This applies to every vintage watch not just this one. 1 – Smooth winding. 2 – Smooth time setting. 3 – Starts upon winding, there is no need to shake it.
