Rare Omega Seamaster 120 “Deep Blue” Original 166.073 Automatic Vintage Diver. Fair (Obvious signs of wear or scratches). No original box, no original papers. United States of America, Ohio, Stow. 42 x 46 mm. Date (Quick set by pulling the crown all the way out). Central seconds, Luminous hands, Luminous indices. Rare example of the Omega Deep Sea Seamaster 120 ref 166.073 stainless steel divers model circa 1969. These Seamasters are even harder to find than the beloved Seamaster 300s! Original cushion shaped 42 X 46mm case. Original deep blue dial with applied bold silver indexes. Original dark blue bakelite bezel. Original, beautiful wide, kite shaped hands with lume intact. Original tritium lume with rich patina still glows for a couple seconds! Powered by automatic caliber 565 movement with sweep seconds and quick set date. Features a signed oversized Omega crown which does not screw down. These watches are becoming impossible to find without modern luminova replacement parts, including dial, hands, and bezel, so this tritium model is a real find. Comes on a beautiful, period appropriate JB Champion (Forstner) Bracelet. As you can see from the photos, the condition includes the expected wear on the case, cracking and crazing on the dial, and rich aging to the lume. The watch is running reliably. It has not been timed, a service is recommended. The bi-directional bezel works properly and the tritium will still glow when charged. The crown (which does not screw down) and stem winds and sets properly and the quick set date is working as it should. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
