Offered for sale is a rare and very well preserved 1961 Omega Ref. 14770-SC61 Seamaster 18K yellow gold 34mm automatic date watch. The overall condition is impressive and can only be described as excellent. Please see all 12 photos. This watch is especially rare due to its seldom seen tapestry dial and because far fewer of these Seamaster models were produced in 18K when compared to steel models. It is very clean and correct with all original parts and still has its original Omega logo crystal and crown. The new strap and gold plated Omega buckle are period correct aftermarket. It features a beautiful champagne tapestry dial, black filled gold baton hands and index markers with date indicator at the 3 o’clock position. The 18.5 million movement serial number denotes 1961 production. It is equipped with an Omega Cal. 562 automatic chronometer movement in flawless condition, the movement is immaculate and shows how little this watch was used. The watch appears to have been stored for a long period of time. We have thoroughly cleaned and lightly re-polished the watch and original crystal. The dial, crystal, crown, hands and movement are perfectly original and in very good condition for their age. The case, bezel and caseback are very clean. Runs well and very accurately. All functions perform perfectly. This is a beautiful vintage item and a rare Omega watch reference in this configuration. Sorry no box or papers. Thank you for your consideration.
