A rare vintage Omega Seamaster automatic chronograph model ref. 176.007, good size and with an exceptional movement Caliber. 42.5 mm X 38 mm (without counting the Omega signed SS crown and pushers) X 15.5 mm thickness. In stainless steel, very robust case, in very good conditions, the front of the case has a mate or brushed finish and at the sides smooth or bright polish finishing, very nice please take a look at the images! Screw, Stainless steel, internally it is signed Omega Watch Co. And the correct model reference: 176.007. EPSA (diving bell symbol). Circle surrounding lightly engraved SEAMASTER, Hippocampus logo, Omega symbol. And has some use marks and little scratches because the bracelet always touches, please observe. Original, never touched or repainted, gray color with internal rim with tachymetre scale, raised hur markers, the left subdial has a blue up part (for the 24 hour function, day or night the little blue hand) and the little black hand tells the seconds. Omega, Automatic, Seamaster, T Swiss Made T, very handsome dial for the age, almost 50 years, there is a light patina from the age but colors are vivid and inscriptions are all sharp and fully readable, I took care of this watch a lot. Or plexy glass, original in excellent conditions, signed (very light) the Omega logo at the center. Movement High Grade Omega cal 1040. Very handsome copper colored in excellent conditions. Caliber Omega 1040 based on Lemania 1340, the. Differences are the color (Omega is signed and copper colored, Lemania is matte silver) and the Omega has the 24 hour disc, Lemania not. The distinctive feature of this calibre is the serial number on the rotor, this one is marked #31.649465 production year : 1970. Its a movement that was designed to see rugged high G use in fighter planes. It has 22 jewels, the Power reserve for 44 hours, automatic chronograph, 60s, 60 min, 12h, cam switched, center-minute and second, f: 28.800 a/h, with incabloc. It was serviced in 2017 by my friendly master watchmaker (fully dismantled, cleaned, oiled with Moebius fine swiss oil and adjusted timed) runs well, every function is tested. Original stainless steebracelet (Omega 1170) and end links #653 (hard to find these if not equipped), the size supports a 20 CM wrist or 7,8. I took a picture with the bracelet open and a ruler beside it for comparison of measure. This has been one of my favorite vintage pieces for the last 20 years, due to the modern size, unique dial and very desirable hands. The blue center minute recorder is in my mind the very best type of chronograph display and is visually very interesting and legible.
